About the Day

The Find Your Four Block Party · Alief is a free, family-friendly community festival hosted by Harris County Precinct 4 in the heart of Alief. Rooted in the community that lives there — and shaped by the neighborhood partners who make Alief what it is — the day brings together local artists, restaurants, musicians, athletes, and small business owners for a full afternoon of culture, food, wellness, and hands-on fun for kids and families. The Block Party also marks the unveiling of the new Alief-Amity Park mural.

What's Happening on the Day

Live Stage - performers, DJs, community speakers, and local talent throughout the day
Kids & Family Zone - art stations, sports, giveaways, and hands-on activities for all ages
Food & Vendor Marketplace - a curated marketplace of local food vendors, creatives, and small businesses reflecting Alief's diverse culinary and cultural fabric
Local Artist Showcase - Houston-based visual artists showing new work, painting live, and engaging directly with attendees
Health & Self-care Experiences - a combination of offerings centered on well-being, like outdoor Pilates, mindful yoga, and sound therapy
Mural Unveiling Ceremony - the day's anchor moment: the public reveal of the new Alief-Amity Park mural

The Bigger Picture

The block party is the culmination of a four-week community program that begins in early September and rolls live experiences into Alief-Amity Park each week, anchored by three community partners:

Alief ISD Fine Arts - Student Takeover (Week 1)
Alief Art + Festival - Public Art & Culture Week (Week 2)
The Grail'd Sneaker Museum - The Court & The Culture (Week 3)

The Find Your Four Block Party is part of Commissioner Lesley Briones' investment in art as civic infrastructure across Harris County Precinct 4. Alief is the first edition; more editions across other Precinct 4 neighborhoods will follow.
